The Grianan Centre in Stornoway is a resource centre for adults with varied special needs.
In November 02 Visual Arts Education Officer, Elsie Mitchell began a series of ‘taster’ photography workshops at Grianan. The aim of the workshops is to give 8 adults a chance to experiment with different types of cameras and to try their hand at manipulating images using digital photography software. We hope that this pilot project will lead on to a more intensive residency placement at the centre for an artist working with digital media.
