Education and Outreach Programme

Education and Outreach is an integral part of An Lanntair’s overall arts provision. Our programme began in April 2000 with the appointment of a Visual Arts Education Officer - funded by a new grant from the Scottish Arts Council. Since then we have been able to develop an exciting range of visual arts activity throughout Lewis and Harris, with children and young people, both within community settings, and by developing partnerships with schools, from pre-school through to secondary level. We have also focused on longer term projects to enable people with disabilities and/or mental health difficulties to develop their interest and skills in the visual arts; an area which we plan to expand over the next couple of years.
